Bethlehem Haven is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing a number of services including emergency shelter; transitional housing; permanent supportive housing; meals; medical, dental, obstetrics and mental health services to women in the Pittsburgh area. The Haven also provides some medical and mental health services to non-residents, including men.
Bethlehem Haven helps women find their way again.
Provide a continuum of care for homeless women that leads toward self-sufficiency.
To end homelessness through collaboration with the community and the people we serve.
Thirty years ago, Rev. Peter Weaver of Smithfield United Church of Christ in Downtown Pittsburgh made a decision that changed the lives of thousands of women.
While Bethlehem Haven still relies heavily on public subsidies, we have diversified our funding streams in order to be more sustainable.
