Join our hosts Nancy Cohen and Debbie Demchak for an inspiring evening with Goldie Hawn to benefit Bethlehem Haven Women’s Shelter.
Goldie Hawn is an Academy Award-winning actress, producer, director, author and the founder of The Hawn Foundation, which equips children to lead smarter, healthier, happier lives. She is also the visionary behind MindUP™ a unique social and emotional development program that builds children’s resilience and improves academic performance.
The Hawn Foundation is now developing adaptations of the MindUP™ program for use with women and girls experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety, trauma and the impacts of systemic poverty – answering some of the many challenges to overall global health and wellness.
Edward J. Donnelly, III MD and Marilyn Sullivan, RN will be honored at this event for their extraordinary work caring for Pittsburgh’s homeless women. Both Dr. Donnelly and Ms. Sullivan were instrumental in building Bethlehem Haven into an organization that combines shelter and housing with much needed medical and mental health services. Because of their service, thousands of lives that were once defined by trauma are now defined by hope.
